Tropical Weather Update for Tuesday, August 28, 2012

Isaac still remains a tropical storm. Here is the latest information.

While still not a hurricane, Isaac is expected to become a hurricane before making landfall tonight in Southeastern Mississippi. Flooding rain and storm surge will be the main threats. Storm surge could be as high as 12 feet in some places and up to 20 inches of rain will be possible. A Tornado Watch remains in effect for much of the northern Gulf Coast until 7pm CDT. Isolated tornadoes will be possible, especially along the coastline.
