Forecast for Tuesday, September 25, 2012

Thunderstorms will be possible today for portions of the Plains, as well as the Mississippi and Ohio River Valleys. Below is the outlook for today.

A dryline across western parts of Texas will be the focal point for thunderstorms this afternoon as it moves eastward into western portions of Oklahoma. Southerly winds will also bring more moisture further north. As thunderstorms develop, hail to 1″ and damaging winds will be possible.

Thunderstorms will also be possible across portions of the Mississippi and Ohio River Valleys along the warm front currently across portions of Missouri and Kentucky. Storms will likely begin as clusters and eventually evolve into a linear segment. Hail to 1.5″ and damaging winds will be possible.
