Forecast for Tuesday, October 9, 2012

While no severe weather is expected, there is a potential for thunderstorms across portions of Northern California. Below is the convective outlook for today.

Thunderstorms will be possible today across portions of Northern California ahead of an upper level low off the coast. Steep lapse rates, as well as forcing, from the upper level low will support the development of isolated thunderstorms. Gusty winds and lightning will be the main threats with these storms.
