Forecast for Tuesday, October 23, 2012

No severe weather expected today, but there will be the potential for thunderstorms across portions of the Midwest. This is the convective outlook for today.

A shortwave trough over the Northern Plains will move into the Northern Plains later today and may bring a chance for isolated thunderstorms. The lack of instability will limit both the development and coverage of thunderstorms. However, if thunderstorms are able to develop, gusty winds would be the main threat.
