Forecast for Tuesday, October 2, 2012

While no severe weather is expected today, thunderstorms will be possible for portions of the South Central Plains and East Coast. Below is a look at the convective outlook for today.

There is some thunderstorm activity ongoing in the east, however, more storms are possible this afternoon ahead of a weak area of low pressure. Any threats with these storms would be rather isolated with damaging winds and tornadoes being the main threat due to strong shear across the region.
