There is a thunderstorm potential across portions of the Plains and Ohio River Valley today. Below is a look at the outlook for today.

The risk for thunderstorm development today is highly conditional due to the lack of low level moisture. However, midlevel cooling may create just enough instability for a few thunderstorms to develop ahead of a stalled cold front. Any storms that form will have the potential for small hail (<1″) and gusty winds.
