Forecast for Thursday, October 25, 2012

A cold front will bring a chance for thunderstorms to a large portion of the country’s midsection. This is the convective outlook for today.

As of this writing, there is a a Severe Thunderstorm Watch in effect for the Upper Peninsula of Michigan until 2pm CDT. Hail to 1″ and wind gusts to 70 miles per hour will be the main threats. Elsewhere, no severe weather is expected, but some isolated thunderstorms will be possible ahead of the cold front currently extending across the Plains.
