Forecast for Monday, October 8, 2012

A shortwave trough over portions of the Ohio River Valley will make its way eastward today, bringing a chance of thunderstorms to portions of the East Coast.

The best chance for thunderstorms today will be across portions of Southeastern Georgia and Northeastern Florida ahead of a cold front. Cloud cover and weak low level lapse rates may limit thunderstorm development, however, if thunderstorms are able to develop, gusty winds would be the main concern.
