Forecast for Monday, October 15, 2012

The upper level system that brought storms to the Plains over the weekend will bring a chance of thunderstorms to portions of the Mid Atlantic and Southeast today. Below are the forecast maps for today.

Moisture and instability will increase ahead of the main upper level system over the Ohio River Valley. Breaks in the clouds may increase the instability as well somewhat. As thunderstorms develop, damaging winds will be the main threat, but some storms may produce hail up to 1″.
