Forecast for Monday, June 26, 2012

The Southeast and Mid Atlantic region will be the areas of concern for severe weather today. Below are the forecast maps for today.

    

Rain and thunderstorms will continue across portions of the Southeast ahead of Tropical Storm Debby. Besides heavy rain, isolated tornadoes will be possible, especially along the coastal areas.

Further to the north, thunderstorms will be possible across the Mid Atlantic ahead of a cold front. As moisture begins to move northward and daytime heating intensifies, thunderstorms will begin to develop. Hail to 1″, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes will be possible.
