Forecast for Friday, October 19, 2012

No severe weather expected today, but there is the potential for thunderstorms along the East Coast. Below is a look at the convective outlook for today.

The thunderstorm potential is due to a cold front associated with the area of low pressure over portions of the Great Lakes. The lack of shear and forcing will reduce the severe weather threat across this region, however, any storms that do form will have the potential for some small hail and gusty winds.
