Frequently Asked Questions
Here is a list of frequently asked questions by those visiting the ChaserTV website.
I heard audio on one of the streams, can we get sound on all streams?
Some chasers have chosen to include sound in their stream. The audio takes up considerable bandwidth and lowers the overall video quality. It is up to the chaser to provide audio streams, and most chasers choose not to stream audio as it can be hard to remember that you always have a “hot mic” in the car with you.
How can I turn the volume down/mute the streams?
Move your mouse over the video player and the controls will appear. The volume control is on the right.
I’m having trouble viewing any streams. What can I do?
Make sure you’ve installed the latest Adobe Flash Player. Clear your browser cache and restart your browser.
How can I view streams full screen?
Move your mouse over the video player and the controls will appear. The ‘Fullscreen’ button is to the left of the volume meter.
I’m a producer for a TV station and wish to use one of your streams on air. How can I do this?
ChaserTV is not a broker service, but we can get you in touch with the video streamer. Please contact us so we can make contact with our streamer. Remember, all streams are copyright by the individual streaming and are not for rebroadcast without permission.
How can I get my own stream on the ChaserTV iMap/wall

I would like to go storm chasing! How can I do it?
Storm Chasing is very dangerous and should only be done by people who have a basic understanding of weather. We do not offer any sort of storm chasing tour services, however, there are plenty of tour companies out there which will take you storm chasing for a fee.
