Active Tropics

It has been a busy period for the Tropics as we flirt with the peak of Hurricane Season.  As is outlined above in the image produced by the National Hurricane Center, Danielle is not a threat to land and should continue to decline in strength and potential as she progresses eastward.
Next in line is Earl.  As of this update, Earl is a Cat3 storm with potential to increase in intensity in the near-term.  Long-term trends are downward and US landfall is uncertain and location hard to pinpoint.  Here are some maps:


After Earl is an area of interest that should become a storm to keep a close eye on.  We’ll cover the progress of this system over the coming days as it is the most likely in the line of storms to actually impact the US.
